Since launching this podcast seven years ago we have endeavored put together a year-end awards show that truly celebrates the best in underground rap.. Along the way, we brainstormed some uh questionable award show names (shoutout to "The Daddy’s" and "Dad Bod Awards"—thankfully, neither stuck).

Enter Daedalus.

The legendary multi-instrumentalist, composer, and Dad Bod Rap Pod fan gifted us the perfect name for our annual hip-hop wrap-up: Quibble Jam. With that settled, we’ve been dropping multi-part year-end episodes ever since, ranking our favorite releases from the past 365 days.

2024 was one for the books. The three bad brothers you know so well took off to Saigon to record our first-ever Hip-Hop Travel series, documenting the entire experience. But why stop at just audio? Each of us wrote an essay about the trip, and we figured—why not package those stories alongside our year-end rap lists and some extra goodies into a full-blown ‘zine?

Now, I knew next to nothing about making a ‘zine, but luckily, the DBRP hive mind runs deep. Shout out to the incomparable Rory Simms—graphic designer, all-around good dude, and the wizard who helped us turn this idea into reality.
